Love drives you to do crazy things and to cling to hopeless causes.
It is a powerful force, not a physical one, but a force nevertheless.
It cannot be quantified or seen or touched by a scientific eye yet, we, as humans, see it in every action we take.
We can feel the warmth that surrounds an old couple as they move through their days with complete trust in each other.
We can see it in the eyes of a freshly broken heart searching for hope. We can see it as a mother lays her broken son down.
Love is more than just the grand and unimaginable thing we all dream it is.

Love is the simple things.
It is a playful spat between siblings, a gentle slap amongst friends.
It is not the first kiss, but rather the kiss you give much later, at a wedding, an anniversary, a funeral.
Love is knowing that no matter what happens, no matter what mistakes you make, someone will stand beside you.
Even if you drift away and distance yourself, the people who love you are the ones who will welcome you back, be it days, years or decades later.
It does not leave a single person untouched.

Love is universal, imperfect, unfair and unjust, yet it is desired by all.
